saturday in the city

I love craft fairs. But even folks who aren't fans of craft fairs would love The Renegade Craft Fair. Seriously where else can you eat vegan food, drink beer and listen to some rocking music while buying t-shirts that say "Knitting Takes Balls" or "Gunslinger" with an image of a glue gun. (Best friend got the knitting t-shirt.)

I loved the napkins, I couldn't pass them up. There were tons of these scarves everywhere so I went with one of my favorite colors, brown.

Cool green silk necklace. For some reason I'm really digging green lately.

This purse is totally the best friend's fault. She claimed I had to have it. Why? It's made out of a book... Specifically, Tender is the Night by Fitzgerald. The only thing that could make it better if it were The Great Gatsby. The picture doesn't do it justice. It really is cute.

Then afterwards we headed to the theater to see "Extract". It wasn't quite "Office Space" but it was good. Honestly, do you need an excuse to watch Jason Bateman?

The only thing that sucked... driving the best friend to her boyfriend's apartment which is a couple of blocks from Soldier Field... and tonight was the first night of the U2 concerts. Traffic=horrible. And sunburn on my neck.

The purse book actually looks better in person. I was trying to convince my friend to get Pride and Prejudice. Not only because its a fabulous book but also because the pattern used was gorgeous.

Sounds like a great day! I really love the napkins, too...I haven't bought any table linens since I got married, maybe I need to start thinking about it....

Thanks for sharing the pics! :)

I am forever looking at table linens which is ridiculous because I don't entertain. But there's something about that stuff. I just can't pass it up.

I did manage to pull out my fall runner today. I really should use some of the stuff with just me but it seems like a bit of a waste.

Seeing that he was in it made me want to watch it. And I don't even have that added layer of appeal that probably you have going. ;-)

Many cool things found! The napkins are stylish.

I apologize for my portion of the traffic jam. :-)

True, but Kristen Wiig was in it as his wife. And Mila Kunis. So there's something for you too.

I did notice the presence of both women in the trailer, yes.
