Woo Hoo He's out

Impeached Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has been removed from office and banned from ever again holding office in Illinois.

Now will someone make the crazy man go away? Please.

Yes, I realize we're instead stuck with more media leading up to his criminal trial and then the nonsense when he is convicted and sent to jail. But it was worth the though.

gatz, I listened to some of his "address" today and I simply could not believe it, even for him. Part of his argument, essentially, was "Come on, you guys. You know what you have to do to get things done in this game." Which not only supported the idea that he's corrupt, but pretty much forced the legislators to choose sides: Corrupt Business-as-Usual, or Idealism and Change. Wow. He is a lawyer, right?

I sat there listening thinking, "Rod, you are really living up to your name. And you've just sealed your fate."

I was too busy to listen to the address yesterday. I'm sorry I missed it. The man is beyond insane.

It will be interesting to see what comes out during his criminal trial. You just know there has to be more that we haven't heard. It will also be interesting to see if he sings like a canary to get a reduced sentence. He's got to have dirt on some others.

I just really feel bad for his girls. With an insane father and a mother that seems a little nuts too... oy.

That is awesome. I didn't go to work today so I didn't get a redeye. I really love their covers. They are hilarious. I follow a couple of them on twitter. They are funny folks.

"Imagine what future governors will face if I'm thrown out of office for this," Blagojevich said.

The threat of accountability? I'm happy to imagine that. :P

Hey, gatz! It's *ex*-governor blow-dry now. ;)

I know. I was pondering what new tag to use but couldn't come up with something fitting.

Hopefully he'll go away for a while. It would be nice to have a break before his trial starts (when ever they get around to formally indicting him).

I was listening to 'GN on the way home yesterday and the lawyer they had on made a good comment about how the only ones to gain from this whole mess is the Republican party of IL... if anyone can find them. Between Blago, Stroger, and some of the others... its just a mess.

And this is the state that Obama came from. The rest of the Country has got to be shaking their heads. Those of us here aren't surprised and just expect this nonsense. That's what is truly sad.
