justice is almost served

Happy Day. The Supreme Court ruled that a school's strip search of an Arizona teenage girl accused of having prescription-strength ibuprofen was illegal. (Not too surprisingly Justice Thomas Dissented.)

The justices also said the lower courts would have to determine whether the school district could be held liable.

I hope to hell that they are found liable. I know that probably hurt other children in that district (because of funding) but I really want them to have to pay to what they did to that girl.

I hope to hell that Mr. Wilson is then sued and loses everything and is forced to work at a Walmart or McDonalds. He should rot in hell for what he did to this girl.

I'm so happy for Savana Redding and her mom.

Thank you for posting this - I was wondering what happened with this.

At least - whatever tiny consolation that may be for her - the right outcome occurred now.

Great news, Gatz! Thanks for sharing.

(Not too surprisingly Justice Thomas Dissented.)
It's oddly comforting to know that some things don't change. Ever.

I saw that earlier, Gatz. I was really happy to see the decision. I had actually figured it was going to be much closer than it was.

Unfortunately, the court held that while the school district can be sued, Mr. Wilson can't individually.

I just heard that, in his dissent, Justice Thomas said the court is signaling to students where to hide contraband.

F--k you, Justice Thomas.
