Thanks so much for the link, Gatzy! It's inspiring to see that an 86-year-old man gets that it's about freedom and equality; he's not from the demographic I look to for gay-friendliness, you know?
Of course, a man who fought in World War II would have an acute awareness of the meaning of freedom.
This made me cry. I think it's also telling when he talks about seeing the ovens at Buchenwald: "I know what happens when people are considered second-class citizens."
I am so proud of him. I can only imagine how proud all four of his sons must be.
