mad men: "the gypsy and the hobo"

Episode 11? My how time flies.

Season 3, Episode 11: The Gypsy and the Hobo
A former client returns to Sterling Cooper.  Betty takes the kids on a trip.  Joan and Greg plan for their future.

Yay! Joan. I fear for Sally just reading the description of the episode. Poor Sally. (You just Betty will demonstrate her mother of the year qualities.)

Come join the discussion.

I wonder how this will change their relationship, or if it will. Perhaps things have been too damaged from so many years of instinctual wall-building.
I think it will in the long run, Flipcy. Betty will surely make him eat it for a while, and she's earned that. Full disclosure and all.

Don seems like an inveterate womanizer. But if anything could break him out of that, having had to tell Betty everything might be a transformative moment for him. She is now the primary keeper of his biggest secret. That can deepen Don's fear of being exposed, but it can also deepen his trust in Betty.

(Of course Bert Cooper also knows, but when he called in his marker with the contract negotiation, he indicated that he has no problem with preserving the Don Draper facade. It's good for business, after all.)
