So totally not watching that!

Pronger is an asshole. He may have talent but still an asshole. I'd still hate him if he weren't playing against my team right now.

At the end of last night's loss to Chicago, Pronger got into a spat with Hawk agitator Ben Eager, then fired some garbage at Eager. It's also being reported that Pronger has seized the game puck after each loss.

Asked where he had put the puck, Pronger reportedly said, "It's in the garbage. Where it belongs."

Nice example for the children out there.

Just take a look at his suspension history. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/playoffs2007/news/story?id=2891998

They came out on fire last night, didn't they? But now they have to win in Philly, and they've (obviously) yet to do that in this series.

One of my guys is from Gurnee and is a YUUUGE Blackhawks fan. He prefers to watch the games unspoiled at home after work, so we observe radio silence on his behalf. Last night, when we were doing the final proof at press start, he stood outside the pressroom office until one of us brought him a copy without the Sports section.

My coworker wants them to take it to Friday so they can win at home. I cannot take anymore of this. I would prefer to just finish it off on Wednesday. Yes, it would suck that they wouldn't be here (and we would be denied hearing that sweet sweet song)but at least the stress would be over.

You just know the city is going to go nutso. The lights on several of the buildings are red. Some say GO HAWKS. Even the water at the Daley Center is red.

This is so exciting not only because it's been nearly 50 years but even more so because of the huge turn around since being named in 2004 by ESPN the worst franchise in professional sports.

It would be best, I think, if they wrapped it up Wednesday night. Even given that they'd be at home for Game 7, if they lose Game 6 that would be twice they'd let the Flyers back into the series. That's leaving too much to chance.

You can just tell the son spent time before old man Wirtz died, figuring out how he was going to turn things around as soon as he took over. It's hard to argue with his results.

I think NBC and the NHL would prefer it go to game 7. Last I read the ratings were good.

I believe Wirtz signed the deal to get the games back on tv within 30 days of Dad's death. And it helped that he got the marketing genius McDonough from the Cubs.
