That week went way too fast. Here we are another Sunday night and a new episode of Mad Men.

Episode 2: Christmas Comes But Once a Year
A last minute visitor threatens to spoil the agency's Christmas party.

Something tells me this is going to be an interesting Christmas party. (How retro... we're actually calling it a Christmas party.)

So what do we think of Peggy's boyfriend? I'm not crazy about the relationship, especially because she feels she has to lie to him about her sexual history. He seems very transitional to me.
I agree, Mary. I don't think he is going to be around for the long haul. Last week she was practically apologizing for him with Don. It was almost like she was embarrassed by him.

The thing is Peggy isn't like many women her age because of the level of her job. I would imagine it is difficult to find a man that would be okay with her work let alone find one that would be supportive. She needs someone strong enough in his masculinity and someone challenging. She keeps dating weak or flawed men. Men that she knows she can't have a future with.

That eyes-wide look on Peggy's face after they've had sex, the look he can't see? She's upset about something. What do you guys think?
To me it was that she was upset that she slept with him. He clearly isn't the one. It made me think that the sex was probably not great and that she's thinking why am I with this guy?

She needs someone challenging and that guy isn't going to challenge her. I wish I could remember what he said last week but it just made me think, really?! You are so much better than that guy.

It's a shame that Joey is so young. I imagine her with another creative person.
