That week went way too fast. Here we are another Sunday night and a new episode of Mad Men.

Episode 2: Christmas Comes But Once a Year
A last minute visitor threatens to spoil the agency's Christmas party.

Something tells me this is going to be an interesting Christmas party. (How retro... we're actually calling it a Christmas party.)

I love how she never confirmed or denied his assumption about her virginity....for some reason, I think that's important that it wasn't that she was the one saying she was a virgin; he was, and she just didn't correct him.

Also--she's had a child, and the guy thinks she's still a virgin? How much experience has *he* had?

I saw the look on her face, too, and I think it reflects her deep ambivilance about the relationship. She sleeps with him rather than take Freddy's "old fashioned" advice...yeah, she still isn't making the best choices when it comes to men.

Excellent point, A. We never see Peggy claiming virginity. It could entirely be a presumption by him that she allowed to stand.

Also--she's had a child, and the guy thinks she's still a virgin? How much experience has *he* had?
Heh. Speaking of reacting to society ... he's probably posing, too, playing the role of the man with experience. It's been known to happen. ;-)
