episode 6: waldorf stories

So last week Betty once again proved she would not be winning the Mother of the Year award. And Don proved yet again why he is the master.

Episode 6: Waldorf Stories
Peggy clashes with her new creative partner and Don pitches under unusual circumstances.

(I expect the discussion to be delayed since it is unfortunately scheduled the same night as the emmys. Boo.)

Yep, watching the Emmys. Also, I'm in Cincinnati so I probably won't get a chance to watch till Wednesday, earliest. But I'll get here as soon as I can!

Oh good. I put the thread up because I didn't want to delay things but I'll be lucky if I can get to it tomorrow.

Hope you are enjoying Cincy.

OMG I'm so late -- no comments? I LOVED this episode! Where is everybody!

Shit, now I'm going to have to remember all the things I loved all on my own. I was counting on you guys for that. :)

Best LOL moment -- Mrs. Blankenship adjusting her wig. It was SO subtle and they just blew by it, but I died.

Don: "Mrs. Blankenship, call the Pen and Pencil and see if they found my award."
Mrs. B. "What category?"
Don: "Best Actress."

LOVED the conversation between Lane and Pete. I am really feeling Lane lately. Pete, for all his hubris (and there is a lot of it) is practical and focused. I really sympathized with Pete as he tried to hold the Life meeting together after the drunken rabble swirled in. So I like that Lane likes Peta and appreciates him for that reason. He counted on Pete to let Ken into the firm, because he trusts Pete's reasoning. And he smiled as Pete puffed up his chest for Ken. I think Ken smiled a little too. :)

Ha ha, go Peggy. I loved that WE knew she wasn't such a priss, so the Artiste really had that coming. That was fun. And I liked how she got him once more when they pitched the idea - making the "this big" fingers.

The flashbacks were wonderful. My favorite part was at the end, when Roger couldn't remember hiring Don. Just as Don couldn't remember ordering Peggy to a locked room, etc. Very nice.

I also loved the light coming up on Don in bed with a different woman. We find out who she is as he finds out who she is.

Oh, and Roger AND Don holding Joan's hands under the table!

This episode will definitely end up as one of my top five.

Anyone? Again, sorry for my lateness.
