Oh, I almost forgot this one...

Roger to Sally: "I got you a Shirley Temple. It's time you started tapering off."

Sepinwall points out that, though we know Slattery has chemistry with literally everyone, he'd never considered the "enormous possibilities of putting Roger in a room with children." I couldn't agree more.

It's a brilliant pairing. Sally is so knowing, for a girl her age. She fashions herself as a little adult, and Roger treats her exactly that way (though without any of the vulgarity he might include if she were really an adult). He delivers his usual dry banter without condescending at all. So it comes off as very affectionate and respectful of her, and therefore sort of touching. The whole thing just sparkled.
